The THERA-Trainer is a training device for the mobilisation of users with minor physical and/or mental impairments, in neurological, age related or chronic degenerative conditions.
The THERA-Trainer is suitable:
- as a device for the legs (sitting) or the upper body (sitting or standing).
- for passive (with motor power), assistive (with motor assistance) and active (with muscle power) exercise training.
- for maintaining or improving mobility and muscle power.
- for stimulating metabolism and circulation.
- for use at home and in clinical settings (hospital, nursing/residential settings, therapy practices, etc)
- for the use with a stable, upright seat/wheelchair (non tilting chair/wheelchair, etc) or in a standing position.
- for users height 120 - 200cm, users weight <140kg (180kg for BALO), for users with leg or arm prostheses (with a maximum difference in weight of 6 kg per side)

THERA-Trainer Group therapy:
Group training provides additional motivation and is more fun. The group biofeedback option allows up to four users to exercise simultaneously in front of a large screen – either with or in competition with each other. The user can decide whether they want to exercise alone or with others in a group.
The group biofeedback option for THERA-Trainers combines the advantages of group therapy with important concepts in learning theory.
